[ For founders ]

Launch.

From idea to live and selling, without the guesswork.

Launch is for founders starting something: a new business, a side project going full-time, or a business that has never properly existed online. We cover the practical route from idea to trading: name and domain, the website or store, payments, tracking, and the first channel that brings customers in. You own every account we set up. We have started businesses ourselves, more than once, so the advice comes from having done it rather than having read about it. Typically four to eight weeks to live.

What do I actually need to start selling online?

Less than most people think. A domain, a site or store that works on a phone, a way to take money, and one channel bringing people in. That is it.

What you do not need on day one: a custom app, a hundred blog posts, a presence on every social platform, or a five-year brand strategy.

Start narrow, get real customers, then expand based on what they actually do rather than what you assumed.

How do I avoid wasting money at the start?

Spend on the things you cannot easily change later, and delay the rest.

Worth spending on early: a domain you own, a site that loads fast and converts, and tracking set up properly from day one so you can learn from every visitor.

Worth delaying: expensive branding exercises, large ad budgets before you know what converts, and any tool with a monthly fee that you have not yet needed.

Will you tell me if my idea will not work?

Yes, kindly but plainly, and it costs you nothing to ask.

We are not going to talk you out of a business over one call, and we will not pretend to know your market better than you. But if the maths does not work, if the margins cannot survive customer acquisition costs, or if the plan needs ten thousand visitors a month to break even, we will say so.

Better to hear it before you spend, not after.

[ Is it a good fit? ]

Who this suits, and who it does not.

A good fit

  • A new business, or a side project going full-time.
  • A business that has never properly existed online.
  • You want to own every account from the start.

Probably not right yet

  • You need a custom app on day one.
  • You would rather skip testing whether people will buy.

[ Cost ]

What it costs.

Most launches sit in our Launch website band (£2,000 to £4,500) or Shopify store band (£3,500 to £8,000), with a fixed quote before anything starts. Leave some budget for your first marketing channel too.

Questions people ask us

I have not even got a name yet. Is that a problem?
Not at all, and you are in good company. Naming is genuinely hard, mostly because every good name appears to be taken (we have been through this exercise painfully ourselves). We can help you work through it, check availability across Companies House, domains and socials, and land on something you can actually register. What matters more than the perfect name is a name you can own, spell over the phone, and grow into.
Do I need a limited company before we start?
No, you can build and even trade as a sole trader while you decide. Incorporating matters more once revenue grows or you want the liability protection and tax flexibility. It is worth getting proper advice on the timing rather than guessing, and we are not an accountant so we will point you at one rather than pretend. What we would insist on either way is that domains and accounts are registered to you or your company, never to your web person.
How much should I budget to launch properly?
For most small online businesses, the build sits in the lower price bands, plus a modest monthly amount for hosting and tools, plus whatever you can commit to a first marketing channel. The mistake to avoid is spending everything on the site and leaving nothing to bring people to it. A decent site with a marketing budget beats a beautiful site with an empty car park every time. We will plan the split on the call.
What happens after launch?
The site does not run itself, but it should not need constant attention either. Most Launch clients either move onto a light monthly Grow arrangement, or take it on themselves with a handover session so they can update products, pages and prices without paying anyone. We will show you how to run it. Independence is the goal, and if you never need us again that is a successful project, not a lost customer.
