Website design.
Sites that load fast, read clearly and do the job you built them for.
We design and build websites for UK businesses from a studio in the Brecon Beacons. Most are marketing sites: the kind that need to explain what you do, earn trust and get someone to enquire, without a lot of ceremony. Built on modern foundations, fast on a phone, structured for search, and handed over in your name with a session showing you how to run it. If you sell online, the Shopify page is the one you want. If the site itself is the experience, look at premium.

What makes a website actually work?
Clarity, speed and one obvious next step.
Most sites that underperform are not ugly, they are vague. The visitor cannot tell within five seconds what you do, who it is for, or what to do next, so they leave and try the next result.
Fix those three things and the design has done its job. Everything after that is decoration, and decoration is the cheap part.
Do I need a rebuild or just a fix?
Often just a fix, and we will tell you which.
A rebuild earns its place when the foundations are wrong: unusably slow, impossible to edit, broken on mobile, or built on something nobody supports any more.
If your problem is a confusing homepage, thin content or a slow gallery, that is a fortnight of targeted work, not a five-figure project. The rebuild reflex is expensive and quite often unnecessary.

Who owns the website when it is finished?
You do, from day one. Domain registered to you, hosting in your account, code in your repository.
That should not need saying, but check your own registrar record now: whose name and email are actually on it? A surprising number of businesses find out the answer only when they try to leave.
We work on your accounts as a user, and you can remove our access whenever you like.

[ What's included ]
What you get.
01
Planning
We agree who the site is for, what it needs to say and what visitors should do next, before design starts.
02
Mobile-first design
Designed for phones first, then larger screens. You review real pages on a private link as they are built.
03
A platform that suits you
WordPress, Shopify or a custom build, depending on how you will run and update the site.
04
Search basics
Headings, metadata, structured data, a sitemap, and redirects from your old pages so existing rankings carry over.
05
Analytics
Set up in your own account, tracking enquiries and bookings as well as visits.
06
Launch and handover
Domain, hosting and logins in your name, and a session on how to edit the site yourself.
[ How it works ]
From first call to launch.

Week 1
Plan and content
A page plan, a checklist of the content we need from you, and a fixed quote.
Weeks 2 to 4
Design and build
Pages go up on a private link as they are built, so you can comment on the real thing.

Launch and handover
Go live, redirects and checks, then the handover session. Small changes are included for two weeks after launch.

Questions people ask us
- How long does a website take?
- Three to five weeks for a straightforward marketing site, longer for larger or more complex builds. The variable is almost never the build, it is content: photography, product details and the words. We send a content checklist on day one so you know exactly what is needed and when. If you have a fixed launch date, tell us on the call and we will work backwards from it rather than discovering the clash halfway through.
- Can I edit the site myself afterwards?
- Yes, and we would rather you could. Every build includes a handover session covering how to add pages, change text, swap images and update anything that changes regularly. If you would rather not touch it, small monthly support arrangements cover that instead. What we will not do is build something deliberately awkward to edit so you have to come back to us. Lock-in is a business model, not a technical necessity.
- Will the site be any good for search?
- Structurally, yes: clean code, sensible headings, fast loading, proper metadata, and pages built around what people actually search for. That is the foundation and it comes as standard. It is not the same as an ongoing SEO campaign, which is a separate service and a longer game. A well-built site will not rank for competitive terms on its own, but a badly built one will hold you back permanently, so it is worth getting right.
