Content marketing.

Fewer, better pages that answer the questions your customers are actually asking.

We write and plan content for UK businesses: the pages, guides and articles that get you found, answer real questions and give people a reason to trust you before they enquire. The approach is deliberately narrow. A handful of genuinely useful pages beats fifty thin ones, every time, and search engines have spent a decade getting better at telling the difference. Content sits alongside SEO rather than replacing it: search decides what to target and how it is structured, content is what actually gets written.

How much content do I actually need?

Less than you have been told, and better than you have been sold.

The businesses that win with content usually have a small set of pages that comprehensively answer the questions buyers ask, not a blog updated weekly with three hundred words about nothing.

Publishing constantly is a habit borrowed from media companies. You are not a media company. You need to be the best answer to about a dozen questions.

Does anyone read blogs any more?

Fewer people click them, but more machines read them, which changes the goal rather than removing it.

Your content is now being summarised, quoted and cited by AI assistants answering questions in your category. Being the clear, credible source of an answer is the new visibility, and it rewards depth and honesty rather than keyword stuffing.

Same work, different scoreboard. Write the thing that deserves to be quoted.

Who writes it, and does it sound like me?

We write it, after listening to how you actually talk about your business.

The tone comes from you, not from a template. Where you have real expertise, our job is to get it out of your head and onto the page in language a customer follows, which usually means removing jargon rather than adding it.

If you would rather write it yourself, we will happily plan it and edit instead.

  1. 01

    What are people already asking?

Filter your search queries for words like how, what, why and best. Those are the questions your pages should answer.

Where: Search Console › Performance › Add filter › Query containing "how"

  2. 02

    Which pages actually earn visits?

Sort your pages by clicks. Usually a handful do almost all the work, and plenty of posts bring in nothing at all.

Where: Search Console › Performance › Pages

  3. 03

What do customers ask you directly?

Write down the three questions you answer most on the phone or by email. If no page on your site answers them, start there.

Where: Your inbox and your memory

[ What's included ]

What you get.

  1. 01

    Question research

The questions your customers actually ask, from search data and from you.

  2. 02

    A page plan

A short list of pages worth writing, in order, rather than a publishing calendar.

  3. 03

    Writing in your voice

We interview you and write from that, so the expertise is yours.

  4. 04

    Editing, if you write

If you would rather write it yourself, we plan it and edit it.

  5. 05

    Structured to be quoted

Clear answers near the top and question-led headings, for search engines and AI assistants.

  6. 06

    Refreshing what you have

Existing pages updated where that is better than writing new ones.

[ Is it a good fit? ]

Who this suits, and who it does not.

A good fit

  • Customers ask the same questions before they buy.
  • You have real expertise worth getting onto the page.
  • You are happy to spend an hour or two being interviewed.

Probably not right yet

  • You want a set number of blog posts a month regardless of quality.
  • You need traffic next week. Content takes months to settle.

[ Cost ]

What it costs.

Content usually starts as a fixed project for a set of foundation pages. Ongoing writing is part of monthly Grow work, from £750 to £2,500 a month depending on scope.

Questions people ask us

Can you not just use AI to write it?
We use AI as a tool, like most people working honestly in this field now, but the value is not in generating words. Anyone can do that in seconds, which is exactly why generic content has stopped working. The value is in knowing what to write, having something true to say, and drawing genuine expertise out of your business. Content that could have been produced without ever speaking to you tends to read that way, and it performs accordingly.
How long before content brings in traffic?
Three to six months for most pages to settle, in line with search generally. Some pages targeting quieter, more specific questions land faster because the competition is thinner. The honest exception is that content supporting sales works immediately regardless of rankings: a page that answers the objection everyone raises on the phone earns its keep from the first person you send it to, whether Google ever ranks it or not.
Do I need a content retainer?
Not necessarily, and this is where a lot of money gets wasted on autopilot. Many businesses need an initial burst of foundational pages, then very little for a while. Ongoing retainers make sense where the market moves, you are competing hard on search, or content genuinely drives your sales cycle. If a monthly content fee ever becomes a subscription to publishing for its own sake, we will say so and we will stop it.
