Google and Meta ads.
Your account, your data, your money, spent where you can see it.
We run Google Ads and paid social for UK businesses, always inside accounts you own. Fees are for management only: we never mark up ad spend, and your card pays the platforms directly. Every report separates branded spend from non-branded, so you can see whether you are buying new customers or paying to reach people who were already searching for you by name. If the ads are not returning, we will say so and recommend stopping rather than quietly renewing.

Am I paying for traffic I already had?
Possibly, and you can check it today. Open your Google Ads search terms report and find every term containing your brand name. Those are people who were already looking for you.
Some of that spend can be legitimate: if a competitor is bidding on your name, defending the slot is worth doing. The difference is disclosure. An honest setup shows you the branded spend, explains what it is defending against, and never lets it inflate the headline results.
Who should own the ad account?
You. Always.
When an agency runs ads from its own account, leaving means losing the entire history: the conversion data, the learning, the audiences. That is not a technical necessity, it is a retention strategy.
We work as a user on your account. If we part ways, you keep everything and the next person picks up where we left off. Check whose name is on your ad account right now.

How much should I spend to start?
Enough to gather data, which usually means a few hundred pounds a month minimum for search, and being ruthless about which campaigns get it.
Small budgets do work, but only if they are focused on the terms nearest to buying rather than spread across everything.
If your budget is too small for the market you are in, we will tell you on the call and suggest spending it elsewhere instead. That conversation costs you nothing and saves you plenty.

[ The monthly report ]
One page. Plain English.
Every month you get a single page: one sentence on how it went, the money split into branded and non-branded, what we did, what worked, what did not, and what we plan next and why.
The branded split is the important part. It shows how much of the result came from people who were already looking for you, so the headline number cannot flatter us.
Monthly ads report
Example
A steady month: new-customer sales up, branded spend trimmed, one campaign paused.
- Non-branded
- New customers who did not know you
- Spend £1,240Sales £5,980
- Branded
- People already searching for your name
- Spend £180Sales £2,310
What we did
Cut 41 search terms that had spent without a sale. Moved budget to the two best-selling product groups.
What did not work
The new video ads. Paused after three weeks with no sales.
Next month
Test a lower price point in Shopping ads, because add-to-basket rates drop sharply above £60.

[ Is it a good fit? ]
Who this suits, and who it does not.
A good fit
- You can measure sales or enquiries online, or are happy for us to set that up first.
- Your margins leave room to pay for a click.
- You can put at least a few hundred pounds a month into search.
- You want to see exactly where the money goes.
Probably not right yet
- A low-margin product in an expensive auction, where SEO may be the better route.
- No way yet to track a sale or an enquiry.
- A website that is not converting the visitors it already gets. Fix that first.
- You need guaranteed results in the first fortnight.
[ Cost ]
What it costs.
Ad management is part of our monthly Grow work, from £750 to £2,500 a month depending on scope. Your ad spend is separate: it goes straight to Google or Meta on your own card, and we never mark it up.

Questions people ask us
- Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?
- No. Percentage-of-spend pricing rewards an agency for spending more of your money, which is a strange incentive to build a relationship on. We charge a flat monthly management fee agreed in advance, so if we recommend cutting spend on a campaign that is not working, our income does not drop because of it. Your ad budget goes directly to Google or Meta on your own card, and we never touch it or mark it up.
- How quickly will ads work?
- Faster than SEO, but not instantly. The first two to four weeks are learning: gathering data, cutting waste, finding which terms and audiences convert. Judge the account on months two and three, not on week one. If something is clearly broken it will show early, and if the numbers say the channel is not right for your business, we will recommend stopping rather than letting it roll on quietly. That call is part of the job.
- Should I run ads or do SEO first?
- Usually ads first if you need revenue now and SEO alongside for the long game, but it depends on margin and market. Ads buy immediate visibility and, crucially, data: within a month you will know exactly which search terms convert, which then tells you what to build your SEO around. The honest exception is a low-margin product in an expensive auction, where paid may never pay back and organic is the only sensible route.
- What if I already have campaigns running?
- Bring them to the call. We will look at the account with you and tell you what we would change, including if the answer is "this is set up well, leave it alone". Common quick wins are pausing terms that have spent for months without converting, fixing conversion tracking that has been silently broken, and separating branded from non-branded campaigns so you can finally see what the money is really doing.
